| What is PACE? |
|
PACE is the Pan African Conservation Education project, funded by the Vodafone Foundation and run in partnership by Tusk Trust and Siren Conservation Education. The project aims to share ideas across communities in Africa by providing innovative and inspiring resources to educators working on the environment and sustainable development. |
| What will the educational resources contain? |
Films featuring inspirational projects from around the continent where people have found simple and cost effective ways to solve environmental problems A children’s book and posters explaining local and global environmental issues, including learning activities for groups and individuals A series of practical sheets providing methods and useful contacts for further information to help people put the ideas featured in the films into practice A PACE website where resources can be downloaded free of charge. • Energy • Water • Sustainable agriculture • Forests • Human-Wildlife conflict • Bushmeat trade • Marine and coastal environment • Urban living |
| How can we get involved? | From 2006, the project will start distributing videos, children’s books and posters to education centres and schools across the continent.
